"Unleashed"

Thunder in the distant rolls
As the day comes to a close
The air chills with a relaxing breeze
Daylight fades with apparent ease

The calm before the storm
The stillness of the looming night
No longer can we see the sun
Dropping gently below the horizon

I can taste the moisture in the air
The smell of rain makes my nostrils flare
Out the window I strain to see
The power of nature and it's release.

Its getting closer I can tell
Rumbling louder as it quells
Like the waves approaching the sandy shore
Growing bigger, finally reaching the ocean floor

Similarities between nature and life
Different until we see the light
When the storm brings down the rain
Waves break for they can't maintain

The release of power or the crashing force
Wakes us up to confront the source
Unleashing the passion withheld by fear
Creating new shores to emotionally cohere

The warning signs were easy to see
A rise in the ocean and a cloud's growl
Before they both flood your life
Embrace the love and be free of strife.
