It gets more difficult
To find the words
To say what I want
and not sound absurd
Although I could repeat
Things I've said before
My viability is vital
Hence my veracity is a chore
A circumstantial event
May be the key to life
Stumbling upon a woman
That does not wield a knife
So I keep my distance
Watching from afar
Hoping she will see
Me hiding under the bar
When she strolls on past
I'll make it look smooth
Casually touching her lightly
Then I'll fall into my groove
"Excuse me beautiful" I will say
"But I think that you should know
That until you walked through the door
This place had nothing to show.
You are glowing with a radiance
That can brighten the darkest caves
You shine with utter brilliance
It flows over my being in waves.
Please tell me that you are not taken
Tell me I might have a chance
I only want one small favor
May I please have this dance?"
