The moon is full on this chilly night
While we wonder what prowls out of sight
They say strange things will happen after dark
When the Lightning Moon shows it's spark
Darkness surround us while we sleep
As we dream about the treasures we keep
Keep one eye open while you quietly slumber
Thieves will come and steal your plunder
You wont see them when they come to your door
They wont make a sound when they move across the floor
Gliding and flying through the damp air
Silently and wantonly they attract your stare
They have many different names as they converge into one
Blending into a thick watery haze here they come
Grain,Sturgeon,Red, Green Corn, Dog Moon,
Narali Poornima, Raksha bandhan, and Nikini Poya have come to soon.
As the shapes shift and the temperature falls
Your dream takes a turn then it hits a wall
You can feel the pressure upon your skull
Carving out your thoughts with a blade thats dull
One experience at a time they take from your soul
You can feel your past flashing by, its out of control
Then it stops and the haze slowly recedes
An empty shell left behind it's done it's deed
So once again I beseech you, take care
There are strange beings in the air
